Harpy eagle
1.Height: the height of a harpy eagle is 36-40 inches
2.there wingspan is about 6.5 feet (2 meters across) they fly through there forested homes with great agility
3. they originate from mexico the (almost extinct) through central america and into south america.
4. there chicks stay in the nest for 6 to 10 months but they usually stay for a year begging there parents for food
5. what makes them special: well harpy eagles are the largest of the eagle species their rear talons are about 3-4 inches long the same size as a grizzly bears claws.
i choose this bird for my mascot because i thought this bird looked really interesting and i wanted to learn more about it
